“His remarkable journey as a loving father to us, along with his unwavering commitment to our mother, truly exemplified a life filled with love and dedication,” the post says. “His passion for racing not only highlighted his exceptional talent, but also served as a way to honor his father’s legacy, a testament to the values instilled in him. He passed his passion, knowledge and dedication down to us and we will continue not only his legacy but our grandfather’s as well.”

In Memoriam: Athletes Who Died in 2024
'World's most monstrous bodybuilder' dies at 36, days after heart attack. Had 16,500 calories per day, 7 meals
Illia Yefimchyk, a Belarusian bodybuilder known for his imposing physique and massive caloric intake, passed away last week at the age of 36. His death was confirmed on Wednesday by the bodybuilding community through the Instagram account @whoisthebestbb. Reports indicate that Yefimchyk, often referred to as “Golem” or “The Mutant,” suffered a heart attack at his home on 6th September before falling into a coma. His wife, Anna, recounted the harrowing details of the incident, stating that she attempted chest compressions while waiting for emergency services to arrive. Despite briefly showing signs of recovery, Yefimchyk was declared brain dead by doctors. “His heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” she said. Yefimchyk remained in a coma before succumbing to his condition. Anna expressed her gratitude for the support she received during this difficult time, noting, “It’s heartwarming to realise that I am not left alone in this world.”

She told me I need to go to the emergency room to check my haemoglobin levels
•
I was out at dinner with friends for the first time in MONTHS! As we finished, I got a call from my DR (I mean they never call at night for good news) 🥲
•
I had a blood test done that morning & she got the results that night. She told me I need to go to the emergency room to check my haemoglobin levels. They were dropping quickly (with no real reason - yay!)🩸
•
Kieran and I got to the hospital at 8pm and because of my previous history I was seen immediately! They did repeat bloods & my HB levels were even lower… So it was blood transfusion time! 🩸💉
•
After a lot of waiting for test results & for the units of blood to come we finally started the transfusion at 12:50am. I have NEVER been so tired. They do hourly observations when getting a transfusion so that doesn’t leave much time to sleep. 😴
•
I was admitted for observation & three nights later I am STILL here. 🏥 I am feeling good & very ready to go home - fingers crossed tomorrows the day! 🤞🏼
•
This was my first (& hopefully last) blood transfusion. It really solidified the importance of donating blood if you’re able! So if your eligible PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASEEEEE donate when you can! You might just be saving someone’s life. ❤️

As always,
Be kind to yourself. 🦋

A stroke can turn your life upside down, Keep going!! No one can fight this fight but YOU!!
heidiwoodle A #stroke can turn your life upside down, BUT you have to have the courage and tenacity to give it everything you have, and then give it some more.
I had my stroke Jan. 20, 2021, and I could have decided to hang up my shoes and forget the weights, but I am determined to come back stronger than ever!!
Keep going!! No one can fight this fight but YOU!!
A year and a half ago I had a #stroke, and the first program that I tackled when I could grasp weights, was LIFT4. I new that program well, completing it 6 or 7 times prior to my stroke. It was humbling to say the least. 😳
But I had to try!!
Every day was a challenge, but one that I embraced with open arms. I have completed eleven program since LIFT4, and I am so pumped that @joelfreemanfitness has come out with LIFT More! I am ready!!
We launch on Monday, July 25th for coaches and preferred customers, and on August 1st for our regular customers. If you need a new program, or are intrigued, reach out!!

Body Fat Distribution Difference
Sex differences, especially in regards to body fat distribution are poorly understood, due to the multi-factorials causes that may play a role in its distribution
.
📍Make sure to follow for daily fitness tips💪
.
Generally speaking, during puberty, we can find two "types" of body fat distributions: an "Android" body fat pattern, which stores body fat predominantly in the mid-section (and it's more common in men), and a "Gynoid" body fat pattern, which stores more fat in the gluteo-femoral area (more common in women).
Hormonal and genetic differences are likely responsible for these differences, although the exact mechanisms are yet to be determined.
Interestingly enough, peripheral fat storage (more gynoid-type), is related to a decreased risk of metabolic/cardiovascular diseases and better lipid profiles, regardless of the body fat % compared to bodyweight.
Yet, with ageing and menopause, the more "female" type of body fat distribution changes, becoming similar to men's.
💡Keep in mind that while these body fat patterns (Android and Gynoid) are generally seen in men and women respectively, that doesn't mean it's always the case. It's completely normal to see a gynoid body fat in men, just like it is to find an Android body fat pattern in women.
